What are the risks?

Participating in a clinical trial can involve some risks, such as the following:

  • Potential side effects may occur from the study treatments, including those that are known and unknown
  • The risk that the study treatment may be ineffective or less effective than the current standard treatment
  • The risk that the study treatment may not work for every patient

The risks associated with a clinical trial are described in detail in the informed consent form that you will be asked to sign if you decide to take part in the clinical trial.

Heads Up
